Napanee Karate & Jiu Jitsu

We are the Napanee Ontario Branch of WORLD SHOSEIKAN Shoseikan Canada. Our Head Dojo is located in Japan.

Shoseikan Karatedo

All-Japan Shoseikan Karatedo was founded by Kancho (Chief Master), Katsutoshi Ishihara, and was established in Chiba-Prefecture of Japan in 1968. Since 1971, Kancho Ishihara has traveled around the world to promote Shoseikan and Goju-Ryu Karate. In a result, International Shoseikan Karate is formed and presenting the worldwide Karate development. Currently, there are over 50 Shibu Dojo in Japan, America, Canada, India, Pondicherry, Chennai and Dubai.

In 2006, the first dojo of Shoseikan Canada was established in Vancouver. The Napanee branch was certified in 2008. more

Jiu Jitsu

Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Affiliate of BKJJ with Shihan Jack Donovan.
Jiu Jitsu (or JuJutsu) can be translated as the 'art of softness'. more

Adults and Children

We welcome all ages and abilities. Students learn discipline, respect and a sense of well-being. Regular classes can help build your self-confidence, self-reliance and self-esteem.
